Leonardo DiCaprio has found himself in a difficult situation for attending the extravagant wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
The opulent celebration has grabbed headlines due to its star-studded guestlist, along with some mishaps concerning the location and a leaked list of absentees.
The three-day wedding was held in Venice and reportedly cost millions of dollars, a minor expense for multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos.
Celebrities like DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Oprah Winfrey, among others, were present, yet social media users have expressed their outrage over what they perceive as the hypocrisy of some of these celebs.

Referring to paparazzi photos showing Leo trying to conceal his face with a cap, one person commented: "Is he hiding his face because he's known as an environmentalist but attended Jeff Bezos' wedding?"
Another questioned: "Why does Leonardo DiCaprio continue to act as a Hollywood climate activist and then attend Jeff Bezos’ wedding?"
Another person expressed anger: "Just so you know, the private jets to and from #bezoswedding have a larger carbon footprint than you and your entire family of 12 could in 5,000 years. If Leo and his group preach to you again, tell them to reconsider their actions."

A TikTok user remarked: "Leo talks about the planet dying but socializes with a billionaire contributing to environmental harm?"

Since then, it has improved its sustainability measures and claimed that by 2023, all of the company's electricity consumption was matched by renewable energy sources.

Reports suggest Bezos sent 90 private jets for his wedding guests, though it's uncertain if DiCaprio used one.

According to Page Six, the Revenant star was ironically honored for his environmental efforts at the Riverkeeper Fishermen's Ball.
He reportedly returned to Cannes 24 hours later to attend an AIDS benefit gala.
QZ alleges that in 2014, DiCaprio took six private jet flights in six weeks, potentially generating up to 44 tons of carbon if they were commercial flights, while private flights could produce up to 37 times more.
He is also known to enjoy using a private yacht, which contributes to his carbon footprint according to the Daily Mail.
